Shakhtar Donetsk star Luiz Adriano has completed a move to AC Milan, according to reports from the Express.
Adriano was heavily linked with a move away from the Donbass Arena in recent weeks, with Arsenal and Liverpool both interested in the attacker.
But, the Premier League duo will have to look elsewhere after the Brazilian signed a five-year contract with Milan.
A club statement read: “AC Milan announces that it has today acquired outright the player Luiz Adriano from FC Shakhtar Donetsk, who has signed a contract which runs until June 30, 2020.
“The player will join up with the team in the coming days.”
This will come as a blow to the Reds and the Gunners, who were hoping to lure Shakhtar’s record goalscorer to England.
Adriano’s contract was set to expire at the end of the year, so to avoid losing him for free Shakhtar set his price tag at just £5.5million.
The 28-year-old played 33 games in all competitions last season, scoring 21 goals.
