As reported by The Daily Express, Antonio Conte is set for crunch talks with Chelsea after Stamford Bridge chiefs failed to bring Romelu Lukaku to the club.

What's the story?

With Lukaku heading to Manchester United, Conte is coming to terms with the fact he has missed out on one of his big targets this summer. Diega Costa is out-of-favour and so the Italian needs a big-time striker to come in an bang in the goals next season or the Blues risk going backwards rather than maintain their success.

The Express say Conte is unhappy with the transfer situation at the club and on his return to training tomorrow is said to be prioritising talks with his bosses about signing the players he wants.

It is of course difficult to secure players when other clubs are in for them too and the paper say the club matched Man United's offer.

Still, Conte is clearly a man of ambition and if he feels he isn't getting the backing he deserves then he owes it to himself to ensure he has the resources needed to win the English Premier League again next season.
