Luke Young is not going out on loan despite being left out of Queens Park Rangers 25 man Premier League squad.

The former England international has suffered hip injury which leaves him unavailable for an emergency loan move to a Championship club and stranded at Loftus Road until January.

No longer a part of Mark Hughes's plans it was thought the 33 year old would be on his way before the summer transfer window shut but a move didn’t materialise. It is now known he will remain at the club despite the opening of the emergency loan window on September eight.

QPR boss Hughes, discussed the situation with the Fulham Chronicle, “Luke has had a procedure on his hip and is now recuperating.

“He is not fit at the moment so he is not around. I would think it would be more likely that it would be nearer to next window before he would be fit and well and looking to go out on loan.”

Young was brought to the club by Neil Warnock and made 23 league appearances last year, the arrival of fullback’s Fabio and Jose Bosingwa saw the former Charlton Athletic man shifted out of contention.
