Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is being linked with the managerial role at Valencia despite the recent appointment of Gary Neville, Daily Star reports.
The La Liga giants recently saw the departure of manager Nuno Espirito Santo earlier this week as the former Manchester United defender was called in to take his place.
Gary is now in charge of the club alongside his brother Phil, who is serving as his assistant manager, with the pair expected to remain until at least the end of the current campaign.
However, it is believed that owner Peter Lim is keeping an eye on the situation of Mourinho at Stamford Bridge as they plot a move to bring him to Mestalla Stadium.
Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is said to share a close relationship with the club as well as the owner, a factor that could make the switch a possibility.
The Blues have been struggling to replicate the form which saw them become Premier League champions last season, already losing seven out of their first 14 fixtures in the competition.
