Everton's injury-jinxed striker James Vaughan is determined to try and put his problems behind him and focus on rebuilding his reputation at Goodison Park.
The 21-year-old saw a loan spell at Derby County earlier this season ruined by a knee problem which required surgery, but Vaughan returned to action as a substitute in Everton's 1-1 draw with Birmingham City on Sunday.
He told the club's official website:"I had another setback but only a minor one, it was a bit of a kick in the teeth but you have to get on with it, don't you?
"Hopefully I can now stay fit for the remainder of the season and have a good second half of the campaign.
"I just want to move on now, forget about my injuries, forget about everything that's gone before and just invent myself again.
"Hopefully then I can give people new things to talk about."
