Manchester United have registered want-away goalkeeper David De Gea in their Champions League squad following his failed move to Real Madrid, Express reports.
The 24-year-old was linked with a switch to the La Liga giants ever since the start of the summer, but was denied the opportunity when his transfer papers failed to make the deadline for submission.
He was forced to watch all his team’s previous matches from the stands as manager Louis van Gaal didn’t believe he was ready to feature for his side.
Including the Spain international into his Champions League squad could be a huge boost to De Gea himself as his future at Old Trafford was still under question given his lack of playing time.
His national team manager Vincete del Bosque also added that if the keeper is unable to feature for his club on a regular basis, he could lose his place in the squad ahead of Euro 2016.
