Watford have confirmed the sales of Almen Abdi and Daniel Pudil, with both of them joining Sheffield Wednesday.
The Hornets used their official website to announce that the duo have made a permanent switch to the Championship side.
Abdi, who wasn’t in the Switzerland squad for EURO 2016, played in 32 league games last season, starting 25 of those. He scored 2 goals for Quique Sanchez Flores, after three years in the Championship with the club.
Pudil also spent three seasons in the Championship with Watford, but never got a taste of Premier League football. He spent last season on loan at Hillsborough, also scoring 2 goals from 39 league appearances.
It’s been another summer of change for the Hornets, with Walter Mazzarri coming in to take charge of the upcoming season, and has seen no future for the pair at Vicarage Road. Abdi scored 25 goals in 130 appearances for Watford across all competitions.
His first league game in charge will be away at Southampton on August 13th.
