Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel admits he feels sorry for fiery Italian striker Mario Balotelli but insists the whole squad is behind him.
Former Milan striker Balotelli went yet another game without a goal on Saturday when he failed to fire past a gutsy Hull.
His performance was a huge improvement on the one offered up midweek against Real Madrid when he was the subject of conversation for swapping shirts half way through the game.
And Skrtel admits he has sympathy for the 24-year-old and hopes his luck will soon see him firing.
The big Slovakian defender said: “He is working hard and showed some good moments [against Hull]. I feel sorry for him. He is working hard in training; he is working hard in the game. He just hasn’t got the goals.
“We just believe in him. We will be supporting him and just hope he will start scoring goals.”
