Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp reckons the R’s can avoid Premier League relegation this season.
The Hoops currently sit 19th in the division following yesterday’s 2-1 defeat to league leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge
Charlie Austin had looked to of given Redknapp’s side an unexpected point at Stamford Bridge when he equalised just after the hour mark.
But Eden Hazard’s penalty just 15 minutes later put pay to that dream as Chelsea went on to secure all three points.
However, the former West Ham and Southampton manager insists he saw enough to believe his side will beat the drop.
Redknapp said after the Chelsea game: “I feel we can stay up, I’m confident we can do that.
We’ll be difficult to beat at home and should have got something from the Liverpool game a few weeks ago. We have got enough about us to stay in this division.”
QPR face two tricky games in succession as they prepare to face last season’s Premier League winners Manchester City and a resurgent Newcastle.
