Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Aaron Ramsey is set to miss the next four weeks of action after picking up a thigh injury.
The Welsh star has been a key player for the Gunners in recent campaigns and is an important figure in the North London club’s quest for silverware this season.
Wenger has stated that Ramsey will miss about a month’s action before returning in the dying days of the domestic campaign.
“His signs are quite positive. At the start I would say four weeks,” BBC Sport quote Wenger as saying.
Ramsey has had prolonged injury worries over the course of his Arsenal career, which started with a hideous leg break that threatened to end his career.
The Wales international is set to miss a number of Euro 2016 warm-up fixtures for his nation, while he is set to sit out the Champions League clash with Barcelona and some some crucial Premier League games.
Arsenal have had their fair share of injuries this season, with Ramsey’s blow come at the worst possible time for the Emirates Stadium club.
