Lukas Podolski’s Arsenal future looks to be coming to a conclusion after months of speculation around the World Cup winner’s lack of playing time.
Arsene Wenger has revealed that Serie A outfit Inter Milan have returned with a second bid for the former Bayern Munich striker:
“The first proposal [of Inter] was farcical
“After, they come back a bit more serious. We will see what happens. Is the move inevitable? Inevitable in a transfer is very difficult to say but we’ll see what happens. Of course, Podolski is open [to the move].”
Podolski has spoken out on various occasions at his bemusement around his lack of playing time with the Gunners – a case in point is when Podolski bagged a brace against Galatasaray only to find himself not starting in Arsenal’s next Premier League games.
The deal being suggested is a loan deal with the view to a permanent £5million transfer in the summer.
