Arsene Wenger has revealed his confidence that striker Marouane Chamakh will join Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
The Morocco international has been a long-term target for the Gunners and Chamakh himself has regularly discussed his desire to leave current club Bordeaux for the Premier League.
Earlier in the week, the 26-year-old forward revealed he will definitely leave the reigning French champions to try his luck in England this summer and Wenger has now spoken out on the impending transfer.
Chamakh is out of contract at the Ligue 1 club at the end of the current season and would cost the north London club nothing.
"It is not officially done, but we are confident on the boy," Wenger said on the club's official website.
"When all is clear we will come out and announce it."
