West Brom are hopeful that Chelsea will allow Romelu Lukaku to remain on loan at the Hawthorns next season.
The Belgian striker joined West Brom on a season-long loan deal last summer and is set to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the campaign.
The 19-year-old has been one of the Baggies’ star men this season, with 13 Premier League goals to date, and boss Steve Clarke is hopeful another loan deal can be agreed.
However, Chelsea may choose to include the forward in their plans for next season following his displays for West Brom, although if the Londoners manage to secure either Edinson Cavani or Radamel Falcao it is thought that they will allow the youngster to move out on loan for a second season.
Premier League rivals Swansea have also been linked with a loan move for Lukaku but Clarke has dismissed the rumours as “idle gossip” and expects to win the battle for the forward – if Chelsea are open to another loan exit.
