West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic believes Andy Carroll can earn himself another England call-up if he can play consistently for the club, Daily Mail reports.
The 26-year-old has not featured for his national team since 2012 after struggling with an injury which greatly affected his playing time.
He only recently returned back to full fitness, but despite scoring the winner for the Hammers in the 2-1 win over Chelsea, he failed to earn himself a place in the Three Lions squad.
His strike against the Blues marked his first goal in about 10 months after he was in and out of the squad due to injuries throughout the previous campaign.
However, Bilic has revealed that Carroll can return to the England setup if he is able to replicate the sort of form which led to him scoring the winner against the Premier League champions.
“If he continues to play, and continues to play as he did against Chelsea when he came on or against Crystal Palace or Norwich, then he has got every chance to go there,” he said.
“He should be focussed on that and he should try his best because, on one hand, England have got some good centre forwards but on the other hand, when Andy Carroll plays well, he is among the best.”
The Hammers are currently sixth in the league and has been on good form having picked up wins against Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea so far this term.
