West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has revealed that the club are looking to bring in a 'couple' of attacking players to add goals to the side before the close of the summer window.

Speaking to the club's in house media after the signing off England international Joe Hart on a season-long loan from Manchester City, following the addition of the 'keeper's former teammate Pablo Zabaleta earlier in the window, the club chief stated that the powers that be at London Stadium were well aware of the need for more goals in their side.

“The Board and the management know we need a couple of players who will help us to score more goals next season," said Sullivan.

"So that is what we will be concentrating on over the coming days and weeks."

The Hammers have been linked with two exciting options this week and are reportedly closing in on a deal for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez from German side Bayer Leverkusen.

Furthermore, the east Londoners, who struggled for goals during their maiden term in Stratford, have also been credited with interest in Lazio forward Keita Balde.
