West Ham United star Diafra Sakho picked up an injury during the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion as manager Slaven Bilic sees his options limited, Mirror reports.
The 25-year-old was forced off in the 71st minute due to a hamstring problem as yet another star player could now be out of action.
Apart from the striker, summer signing Dimitri Payet was earlier ruled out for three months, while Enner Valencia is still a doubt after only recently returning from an injury.
The Hammers can also call upon the services of striker Andy Carroll, but given his previous injury records, it is unsure how long he can stay at full fitness.
Bilic also came out to reveal that he fears the worst for Sakho and may need to change his entire system given his limited options in attack.
“We’re still waiting until the specialists see him. But it doesn’t look good. It’s a muscle injury, a big blow for us,” he said.
“He’s our key player. We have lost players in those positions and they are hard to replace. As a result we have to change the system.”
The Senegal international has featured 12 out of a possible 14 times in the Premier League this term and has scored three goals so far.
