West Ham debating move for Championship starlet

West Ham United are considering a move for Leeds United’s Charlie Taylor, according to the Mirror.

The Hammers have an issue at left-back, with star performer Aaron Cresswell sidelined with an injury that could keep him out for the majority of 2016.

With that in mind, boss Slaven Bilic is considering a bid for the Yorkshire side’s youngster, after impressing last season in the Championship. Taylor played in 39 league games, scoring the solo goal.

It was his second full season with Leeds, and played the full 90 minutes against QPR on the weekend, in their 3-0 defeat in their season opener.

Cresswell has been a consistently high performer for the Hammers, and has only missed 1 league game over the last two campaigns. The attacking full-back has also scored 2 goals in each of his campaigns with the London club.

Bilic was set to bring in Davide Santon on loan from Inter Milan, but a deal for the Italian fell through after he failed a medical.
