West Ham United fans have expressed their frustration on Twitter after manager Slaven Bilic confirmed that Andy Carroll is an injury doubt for this weekend's Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion.

The former Liverpool striker has been hampered by injuries over the last few seasons, but he seemed to be back on track of late.

Carroll has scored four goals in the Hammers' last four Premier League games, and one was struck in a 3-1 triumph over Southampton last weekend.

The forward's goalscoring form has been warmly welcomed by the club following the January departure of Dimitri Payet, but his momentum could disappear if declared unfit for the visit of West Brom at the London Stadium.

In Thursday's press conference, Bilic played down the severity of Carroll's groin problem, which he suffered in the second half against Southampton.

However, he will wait until Friday to make a final decision regarding the striker's ability to play.

Bilic told reporters:

"He felt his groin and we didn't want to take a risk so we will make a decision on Friday on whether he will be available for Saturday.

“It is not something major because if it was bigger it would rule him out of the game. It is still open and is not a big injury. Basically it is very similar to the one he had against Middlesbrough and he played after that."

Despite the manager's claims, fans are unhappy by Carroll's constant visits to the treatment room.
