West Ham United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Tottenham midfielder Moussa Dembele, according to reports from the Express.
The 27-year-old has been recently linked with a £12million move away from White Hart Lane after struggling for regular playing time under Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino last season.
And the London club are planning a squad overhaul this summer, with Dembele set to be one of the players to be sacrificed.
His availability has therefore alerted Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who is looking to have adequate cover in the midfield ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The Blues are already set to lose John Obi Mikel, who seems close to joining United Arab Emirates club Al Ain.
But, the Premier League champions will face some competition from West Ham, who are also keen on signing Dembele.
The Hammers are also set to go through a squad overhaul of their own, with Slaven Bilic recently appointed as the new manager after the sacking of Sam Allardyce.
