West Ham United have submitted an £11.9million offer to sign Manchester United star Javier Hernandez, according to reports from the Metro.
Hernandez has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford after being seen as surplus to requirements by manager Louis van Gaal last summer, with the Mexico international spending the previous campaign on loan at Real Madrid.
However, ‘Chicharito’ also struggled for regular first-team football in the Spanish La Liga, which has seen him return to the English top flight.
Despite the Red Devils losing Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie, it is unlikely the 27-year-old will stay at the club, alerting the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.
But with Enner Valencia sustaining a long-term injury, the Hammers have launched an £11.9million offer to secure his services before the start of the season.
At the Santiago Bernabeu last term, Hernandez made 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals.
