West Ham are to be offered Saido Berahino as part of a deal that could see Diafra Sakho move to West Brom this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
West Brom are tempted by Sakho’s availability, whilst Sam Allardyce has shown interest in taking Sakho to Sunderland during this summer’s transfer window but the rejection of two previous bids may suggest that the Black Cats will quieten their interest from now on.
Sakho is believed to be unhappy about his lack of playing time under Slaven Bilic, as well as expressing concerns about his relatively low basic salary that he is currently receiving.
Other Premier League clubs have expressed interest in Sakho, whilst he holds reservations about a move to Sunderland.
West Ham want the majority of their £15 million asking price to be paid up front, according to reports, and this has been a stumbling block so far.
However, West Brom are willing to test Bilic’s resolve by dangling a Berahino-shaped carrot.
