Queens Park Rangers are on the verge of signing Estudiantes striker Duvan Zapata, according to Sky Sports.
The Colombian striker was initially set for a move to London rivals West Ham but the Hammers admitted they couldn’t get a work permit for the highly rated South American who appears desperate to move to Europe.
QPR appear confident that they will have no such problems with a work permit and will bring the striker to the Championship next week.
The 22 year old is set to cost more than £6million and will link up with fellow big money newbie Charlie Austin in attack for the Loftus Road club.
Despite struggling to sell his big earners, Harry Redknapp has used the Loic Remy and Adel Taraabt loan money to fund the deal.
It appears to be promotion or bust for Rangers this season as the spending continues but two wins from two games is the start that Redknapp will have been desperate for.
