West Ham United are looking to make a summer move for Manchester United star Javier Hernandez, who is currently on loan at Real Madrid, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Despite scoring the winning goal against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final second leg, Hernandez is set to leave the club following a season in which he has struggled to become a first-team regular.
‘Chicharito’ is therefore set to return to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign, but is unlikely to remain there with Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, and James Wilson all vying for starting berth.
And with only one year left on his current contract with United, the Mexico international is attracting interest from some other Premier League sides, but it is West Ham who seem most keen on the striker.
The Hammers are looking to rebuild their squad next season ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium, with the likes of Sampdoria’s Pedro Obiang, FC Sion’s Moussa Konate, and Basel defender Fabian Schar all linked with transfers.
