West Ham United are considering a move to sign Sunderland star Steven Fletcher as they look to increase their options up top, Mirror reports.
Jelavic is expected to leave Upton Park before the January transfer deadline day on the first of February, with offers offers from clubs in the Far East on the table.
The Hammers are not willing to take a risk with their lack of options in attack, and Bilic plans to reinforce the squad with a striker that already has Premier League experience.
Fletcher, who is in the final six months of his contract with the Black Cats, is an option and is believed to have already been given the green light to depart.
He has featured 18 times in all competitions for his side this season, so far being able to register four goals while providing another one assist.
