West Ham United have joined Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign injury-prone Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge, according to reports from the Brentwood Gazette.
Sturridge has been recently linked with a move away from Anfield, with speculation mounting that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is frustrated with the England international’s constant injury problems.
This has seen the Ligue-1 champions keen on signing the former Chelsea attacker, who is expected to cost PSG around £45million for his services.
However, the Hammers have now entered the chase, with manager Slaven Bilic hoping to bring in a world class striker ahead of the club’s move to the Olympic Stadium next term.
And after their terrific campaign thus far, Bilic’s side could actually qualify for the Champions League next season, which would greatly boost their appeal.
Despite Sturridge’s constant injury concerns, the 26-year-old has taken his opportunities when given, scoring seven goals during 14 games in all competitions this term.
