West Ham United set to complete double midfield signing

West Ham United are set to confirm the double signing of Manuel Lanzini on a permanent basis and Borussia Monchengladbach star Harvard Nordtveit, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.

Lanzini has been with West Ham since the beginning of the current campaign on loan from United Arab Emirates side Al Jazira, but the Argentine has impressed manager Slaven Bilic enough to pen him on a permanent contract.

The transfer is set to cost the Hammers £7.4million, with the deal to be completed once the attacking midfielder fully recovers from a thigh injury.

And to add to the good news, the Hammers have beaten the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal to the signing of Monchengladbach ace Nordtveit, who will arrive on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old is versatile defensive midfielder that is capable of playing at the back as well, and his addition will give Bilic some much needed depth ahead of West Ham’s move from the Boleyn Ground to the Olympic Stadium in the summer.
