boss Roberto Martinez is reported to be on Malaga's wanted list if they lose Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the season.

Pellegrini is being linked with a move to the Premier League with both Manchester City and Chelsea known to be keen and if he does leave then Malaga could turn to Martinez.

The Spaniard has been the subject of interest from rival clubs during the past two summers and it looks as though Latics will face another battle to keep hold at the end of the season.

Martinez turned down the chance to take charge at Liverpool last summer before Brendan Rodgers was offered the job, while he has also snubbed Aston Villa in the past in favour of staying loyal to Wigan.

Whether Malaga could lure him away from the DW Stadium remains to be seen but it looks as though another season of battling relegation has not dented his reputation one bit.
