Roberto Martinez is expected to make changes to the side that won the FA Cup when Wigan take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Latics stunned Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday afternoon and they will need another big result against the Gunners as they battle to beat relegation to the Championship.
The Latics boss is concerned about fatigue after a physically and emotionally draining final at Wembley and could freshen up the starting line-up, with Ali Al-Habsi and Franco Di Santo among the players pushing to start.
“Mentally we are in a good place after beating one of the top teams in Europe,” Martinez revealed. “But it’s true everything suggests we don’t have enough time to recover and go to the Emirates to get the points.
“But we’ve done it before and have the vision of our 2-1 win at the Emirates last year fixed in our minds. We’re excited about trying to do our own double.”
The game comes too soon for midfielder Jean Beausejour and defender Adrian Lopez but they could return for Sunday’s final match of the season at home to Aston Villa.
