Nigeria U-17 star Samuel Chukwueze is having a medical ahead of signing a four-year deal with Arsenal, according to reports from Complete Sports Nigeria.
The winger was a sensation at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, helping the Golden Eagles to the title and was being linked with several other top sides.
However, the Gunners have moved quickly and swooped in for Chukwueze, with his teammate and U-17 captain Kelechi Nwakali already completing the deal last month with African legend Nwankwo Kanu at his side.
Chukwueze flew into London on Monday and started his medical on Tuesday, and is expected to be officially announced shortly if everything goes through.
But, the 16-year-old will not feature for Arsenal until he turns 18, meaning he could possibly go out on loan until then.
The Gunners are in the running to win their first league title since 2004, being two points off the top after beating leaders Leicester City 2-1 at the Emirates this past Sunday.
