Chelsea’s Andre Schurrle has become a top target for Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, who have made a £23million move for the midfielder, Daily Mail reports.
Wolfsburg currently lie 2nd in the Bundesliga table and are on course to qualify for the Champions League, and want to sign the Germany international in the attempt to stay in the position.
They do however face some stiff competition from Borussia Dortmund, who hope that signing Schurrle can lift the BVB out of the relegation zone.
However the Blues are demanding £30million for the former Bayer Leverkusen star, despite Schurrle being mostly used as a substitute at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is still keen on keeping the winger, but has told Schurrle he needs to toughen up in order to become a regular in his starting line-up.
The World Cup winner still has over three years remaining on his contract and Mourinho does not want to lose him this winter, especially with Mohamed Salah set for talks to Roma over a potential loan deal.
