Wolfsburg have revealed that Manchester City have not made a move to sign Kevin De Bruyne despite speculation of a £60million bid being planned, Express reports.
The 24-year-old former Chelsea outcast struggled to hold down any sort of regular role during his time at Stamford Bridge and was eventually sold to the Bundesliga side for £18million.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen to reinforce his side this summer in order to strengthen their chances of battling for the title next season and sees De Bruyne as the perfect midfield candidate.
However, Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs dismissed claims that the Manchester club have made a move for the Belgium international.
“Nothing has arrived here. And neither Kevin nor his agent have told me they want to leave,” he said.
He has been on sensational form last term, featuring 51 times in all competitions, scoring a total of 16 goals while providing 28 assists.
