Wolfsburg are keen to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, just 12 months after he completed a club record £28million move to Goodison Park, according to the Daily Star.
The Bundesliga side paid a massive £22million to sign Andre Schurrle from Chelsea in January, and reports suggest they are keen to bring in a powerful front man to play alongside him.
Lukaku has had an indifferent season with the Toffees since his loan move from Chelsea was made permanent in the summer, but that has not put Wolfsburg off of making a bid.
Kevin De Bruyne has been particularly impressive for the German outfit, and they are now keen to add international and former Chelsea teammate Lukaku to help them challenge Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title next term.
Lukaku has often spoken of his desire to play in the Champions League – something that looks a long way off at Goodison Park, with the Toffees currently struggling in the bottom half of the table.
That means he could be open to a move in the summer, whilst Everton could be tempted to recoup a large amount of the £28million they paid Chelsea for his services.
