Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has tipped in-form winger Matt Jarvis to receive an England call-up.
The 24-year-old wideman took the plaudits after starring during Tuesday's 3-2 Carling Cup defeat by Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The former Gillingham youngster impressed in his first season in the Premier League last term and McCarthy believes he is now knocking on the door of the England squad.
"He was terrific, he's a very important player for us," he explained."I don't think there's many better wingers around.
"I sat next to Fabio Capello's assistant Franco Baldini at Stoke on Sunday and he spoke highly of him.
"When the fans chant for him to play for England, they're not far away."
