World-class Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has admitted that Chelsea are interested in signing him this summer.
The Blues are expected to overhaul their squad after a disappointing Premier League title defence in 2015-16, with Antonio Conte set to take the reins at the West London club following Euro 2016.
Nainggolan has emerged as one of the best central midfielders around as he has deputised for Kevin Strootman at the Italian capital city club.
The Belgium international will star for his nation this summer at Euro 2016 and his combative style has seen him linked many times with Premier League clubs.
Conte knows Nainggolan well from his time in the Italian game and is said to be an admirer of the former Cagliari enforcer.
The all-action midfielder has confessed that the Blues are on his case and that as such he has a tough decision to make this summer.
“Chelsea are keen to strengthen their squad and Conte is a manager who wanted to sign me before. Chelsea are a big club.
“But the transfer is not a done deal and it would not be easy to leave Italy after 11 years.”
Nainggolan’s potential arrival would put Nemanja Matic’s future at Stamford Bridge under question.
