Two late goals from Harry Kane kept Spurs’ hopes of qualifying for the Champions League knockout round alive against PSV Eindhoven last night.
However, a 1-1 draw between Inter and Barcelona in the other Group B clash means Mauricio Pochettino’s men have it all to do with the Italian giants still to visit London and a daunting trip to the Nou Camp looming large.
Playmaker FC’s Theo Ogden was at Wembley to witness the dramatic second half comeback against the Dutch champions and believes it is in big European outings like this where Daniel Levy may regret not doing more to temp Jack Grealish away from Aston Villa this summer.
Pochettino’s squad is being pushed to the limit whilst currently attempting to compete on three fronts and with fatigue clearly evident in the dying embers of the game, the stage was set for a fresh pair of legs. Kane delivered the goods this time round but they may not be so lucky against a more formidable opponent.
