Watch: An urgent appeal for Arsenal fans

Football can be a cruel game. Millwall nearly lost their stadium, Hartlepool were relegated from the Football League, as did Leyton Orient who nearly ceased to exist altogether.

Across North London however, fans are witnessing a plight like none other… or at least you could be forgiven for believing that was the case.

Arsenal, still with a chance of salvaging a Champions League spot, were snubbed by their supporters at the Emirates last night and the 2-0 victory over Sunderland was witnessed by a comparative handful compared to most weeks.

The Gunners have actually already amassed more points than they did last season when they finished as runners up and they could well go one better than Liverpool and Tottenham by lifting a trophy at the end of the month in the FA Cup final.

You wouldn’t know it though, whether tuning in to Arsenal Fan TV or taking a gentle stroll round Highbury and Islington.

Are Arsenal fans gaining a reputation as the most ungrateful fans in England? Wenger Out banners, stadium boycotts… what’s next, an appeal video?
