Arsenal flop cementing legendary status with international hattrick

When former Arsenal striker Niklas Bendtner left the Gunners for Wolfsburg on a permanent basis last summer, many saw it as about time that the heavily-mocked Dane was finally sold after failing to make an impact under Arsene Wenger.

So bad were his performance (along with his off-field antics), that the internet community even labelled him sarcastically as ‘Lord Bendtner’.

But it could have been a grave mistake to have let him go, because the 27-year-old has suddenly started to score goals!

Lord Bendtner only has one goal in the Bundesliga, but he has now struck three times in the Europa League… with his latest a goal helping his side knock Inter Milan out of the competition.

However, his biggest achievement since his move has to be the amazing hat-trick he scored for Denmark against the United States in a friendly last night, making his sarcastic nick-name not so sarcastic anymore.
