Only last week, Anderson was seen coming off the field after just 36 minutes into Internacional’s game in Bolivia, before the former Manchester United star put on an oxygen mask showing that he really could not cut the mustard at Old Trafford.
However, another player who left United at the beginning of the season is having a terrific campaign.
Maligned for much of his time playing at Man United for his lack of consistency, Nani has added to United’s misery following the Red Devils’ 2-1 loss to Swansea by scoring an incredible 30 yard half-volley for Sporting Lisbon against Gil Vicente.
While United manager Louis van Gaal and his players have been blasted for playing ‘boring football’, Nani is showing some exciting displays… resulting in the Portugal international already scoring eight goals this season compared to just one in the 2013-2014 campaign.
Luckily for the 13-time Premier League champions, Nani is only on loan at Sporting. And if he continues playing at his full potential, we can very well see the 28-year-old back in the colours of Man United next season.
