Chelsea midfielder punches team-mate in face during celebration

Being five points at the top of the league and already being labelled as ‘Champions Elect’, Chelsea players should be extremely buoyed by their impressive season.

A big part to their success is the midfield pairing of Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas, who provide the perfect balance of tenacity and creativity in the centre of the park.

But despite providing the assist for the team’s second goal in their 5-0 drubbing of Swansea, Matic seemed rather unimpressed by the former Barcelona man and aimed a cheeky right-handed punch smack into Fabregas’ confused face!

Amid the wild celebrations of a potentially tricky tie against the Swans, Matic probably just lost himself in the joy and accidentally hit the Spaniard, and the incident seems to have been put to bed after the defensive midfielder apologized for his rather lumbering movement.

Well Manchester City will hope differently, because a row between the excellent duo could be the only way back into the title race for the Citizens.
