Newcastle United aren’t having the best of times at the moment, despite managing to draw champions Chelsea 2-2 at St. James’ Park during the weekend.
The Magpies currently sit second bottom on the Premier League table, with their only consolation being that the team below them in 20th are fierce rivals Sunderland.
Steve McClaren’s side have struggled to score goals this season, only managing to grab five goals in their opening seven games and seemingly lack a spark of creativity in their attack.
Well one Newcastle reject seems to be enjoying his football in France at the moment, with Hatem Ben Arfa having an absolute blinder of a game against St. Etienne for Nice, grabbing two brilliant goals with one of them a solo effort in which he beat five players before tucking the ball into the corner of the net.
The brace has already pushed him to six goals in eight league matches, which is more than his combined total the past two seasons.
Fans in Tyneside will wonder why he couldn’t produce his magic on a consistent basis, because on his day the winger is world class.
