It’s not often you see team-mates fight in the Premier League, with the last notable confrontation from the top of my head being Kieron Dyer vs Lee Bowyer at Newcastle United.
Wait to think about it, Ex-Liverpool stars Craig Bellamy and John Arne Riise also supposedly had an incident involving karaoke night and a golf club. Oh and Wilfred Zaha vs Ravel Morrison last year. Okay fine there were quite a bit.
But the latest altercation to come up is from Everton’s Leon Osman, who wrote in his book that he almost had a go at now Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini after a Merseyside derby in 2008!
According to the Mirror, he wrote: “I remember the first derby he played in well – because we almost came to blows! It was after Liverpool beat us 2-0 at Goodison.
“Something happened late in the game after Tim Cahill had been sent off and back in the dressing room, Felli got in my face, pointing at me. I went mad at him and shouted: ‘Come on then! You and me outside now!’
“I was proper angry at him for trying to front me. Hibbo [Hibbert] got between us in the end.”
