Wayne Rooney has never been one to shy away from the media, but so far this season the focus has mostly been around his sudden drop in performance and lack of goals.
However, the England international seems to be taking the criticism very well, focusing his attentions on working his way back to some form rather than lash out at critics.
And Rooney was even more of a true sport when the WWE Raw came to England on Monday, with the 30-year-old striker playing a big part during the event.
Wrestling duo Sheamus and Wade Barrett was mocking Rooney in the audience, and when Wade asked if Rooney’s son Kai was embarrassed when his father steps on the football pitch, the 6ft 7in ace got a huge slap on the face.
Not only was it a joy to watch, but it helped affect the match as it helped Antonio Cesaro win the tie and progress to the next round.
This is all real, obviously.
