Man United underachiever scores better rabona than Tottenham star!

Owen Hargreaves was probably England’s best player in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and only a year after Manchester United purchased the defensive midfielder for £17million from Bayern Munich.

But after his first season, Hargreaves suffered recurring knee injuries that kept him out of action for almost the remainder of his career, making no more than 3 appearances in a season.

His contract with Manchester United ended in 2011, but was then offered an opportunity by Manchester City the following year only to see him also play in only 4 games.

The former England international has now hung up his boots, but doesn’t mean he has lost it as a footballer!

Hargreaves attempted to replicate Erik Lamela’s brilliant rabona goal in the BT Sports studio, but he went one better by putting the shot straight into the top left corner!

Who knows how good Hargreaves would have been if it wasn’t for his injury issues.
