Manchester United star apologizes and helps Manchester City fan

In football, it seems that all of best headlines in the media are the ones that show the bad side of a player’s off-field antics.

Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli is a prime example, with paparazzi following the Italian around hoping to catch the former AC Milan star light some fireworks or giving the finger to Manchester United fans.

However, once in a while a story comes that shows the good side of footballer, with Man United’s Ashley Young being a true gentleman after the Red Devils’ clash with Liverpool… to an alleged Manchester City fan no less!

A supporter, Annie Taylor, ranted on Twitter that while taking a selfie with the English winger, Young accidently broke her screen in the process.

And although there is no proof of this, after Young’s Twitter handle was mentioned in the comments, the 29-year-old instantly apologized and offered to pay for the damage!

Good guy Young, they say. It looks like his nice-guy persona is helping him on the field as well, as he is now starting in front of United record signing Angel di Maria on the left-wing.
