Manchester United went out to spend £31million on Memphis Depay during the summer, with the former PSV Eindhoven star known for scoring several free-kicks in the Eredivisie.
However, despite grabbing his first league goal of the campaign against Sunderland during the weekend, Depay has yet to showcase his ability as a dead-ball specialist.
Well maybe they would already have one if they didn’t decide to let Bebe go. Remember him?
The player often declared as one of Manchester United’s greatest flops, the Portuguese attacker scored an absolutely stunning effort for Rayo Vallecano against Europa League winners Sevilla on Saturday that would make Juninho Pernambucano proud.
The 25-year-old was infamously signed my United in the summer of 2010, with former boss Sir Alex Ferguson even claiming that he himself had never seen him play prior to his transfer.
After being sent out on loan by United, Benfica signed him only to see the same fate, but at least he has gotten his Rayo Vallecano campaign to a good start with this stunning free-kick, helping his team to a 2-2 draw.
Take a bow son!
