The International break is over and you'll be glad to hear that the next one isn't until March, meaning that we have plenty of Premier League football to get stuck into over the coming months.

Its gameweek 12 of Fantasy Premier League and it's around now that the serious players start pushing on and the early front runners either fade away or do all they can to save face.

If you're falling behind and need a drastic change of fortune or you're sitting on top with others chasing closely behind, it's worth ensuring you've done all the research possible to ensure your transfers are effective.

One thing FPL players rarely look in to are minutes per point averages. It's all very well trying to crowbar the game's premium priced players in to your squad but, if they're not economical, are you just wasting your money?

The infographic below shows four players with the highest minutes per FPL point averages so far this season, excluding Manchester City players because they're obvious picks.

As you can seen, Alvaro Morata is currently registering an FPL point every 11 minutes, yet he's a lot cheaper than Man United's Romelu Lukaku and Spurs' Harry Kane.

Mohamed Salah is also a very economical midfield option, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise given his seven goals and three assists for Liverpool so far this season.

The real gem here is Aaron Ramsey, though. The Arsenal midfielder is averaging an FPL point every 14 minutes so far this season, which is more than Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva. He's significantly cheaper than both Man City midfielders, so perhaps you should be looking to the Welshman for a more economical return in the future?

It's also worth mentioning Tottenham's Ben Davies, who has been averaging an FPL point every 12 minutes this season. His place is no longer 100% guaranteed but with a number of injuries in the Spurs defence at the moment, Davies is a cheap and economical option should you decide to bring him in.
