Arsenal’s start to the season got off to a rocky start after losing to Liverpool on the opening day before drawing 0-0 with champions Leicester.

Since then, though, they’ve won five consecutive top-flight fixtures to go within two points of leaders Manchester City.

Their slow start to the season led to many Fantasy Premier League players opting against putting all their faith in Arsenal players to score them high points each week.

The likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez were staple fixtures in most FPL player’s team throughout 15/16, but this season has been different.

However, given the Gunners’ current run of form, it’s probably time to start considering one or two of Arsene Wenger’s men for your team.

Who to go with, though? At this stage in the campaign, it’s well worth taking some time to look at who the most effective points scorers are and which of them offer the best value for money.

So here we look at the top five Arsenal who have the highest points per 90 averages. Couple of gems to be had in here…

5. Santi Cazorla - 6.13 PP90

Santi Cazorla

Cazorla has been in fine form for Arsenal this season, contributing with two goals and two assists.

The Spain international averages an impressive 6.13 points per 90 and has only completed a full 90 minutes four times from seven appearances this term.

He is only owned by 6.3% of FPL players too, so he’s definitely worth a punt.

4. Theo Walcott - 6.19 PP90

Theo Walcott

The England international has been a revived character for Arsenal this season and has already contributed with three goals and three assists for Wenger’s side.

He’s averaging 6.19 points per 90 and is well worth considering as a differential given his ownership of just 8.3%.

3. Alex Iwobi - 6.56 PP90

Alex Iwobi

Iwobi has been a shining light in Wenger’s side this season and despite not yet completing a full 90 minutes for the Gunners this season, is still averaging an impressive 6.56 points per 90.

With three assists and three clean sheets already, he’s definitely a player who will pick up points throughout the campaign and he’d be a strong differential pick, thanks to his ownership percentage of just 1.5%.

2. Laurent Koscienly - 7 PP90

Laurent Koscielny

The France international has developed a strong partnership alongside summer signing Mustafi at the back and, more importantly, loves popping up with a goal every now and then.

He has already scored twice for the Gunners this season and has also kept three clean sheets and collected six bonus points.

At an average of seven points per 90, Koscielny is a solid option in defence for any FPL player, and he’s not selected by a high percentage of teams - just 12.3%.

1. Alexis Sanchez - 7.92 PP90

Alexis Sanchez

The bonus with Alexis Sanchez this season is that he’s playing as a striker but is listed as a midfielder on the game, which means more points for the Chile international.

Last season he averaged 6.16 points per 90 thanks to his 13 goals, 5 assists and 14 clean sheets.

But he’s already surpassing that average this term after netting four goals and assisting a further three in Arsenal’s opening seven Premier League fixtures.

He is owned by 22.2% of FPL teams and is an expensive option at £11.3m but you get what you pay for with Sanchez, don’t you?
