After a fantastic weekend of football with some high scoring games and some impressive individual performances, it is time to take a look back at the action and pick some of the best Fantasy Premier League performers from game week 2.

The process is simple, we take a look at the top-performing player from each position in FPL and evaluate their performance, starting with a goalkeeper, all the way down to a forward - how did they do? Who did they play? How many points did they get? Should you transfer the in for the next game week? All these things will be discussed as we make our way through.

So here we go, the best performing FPL players from game week 2...

GK: Alisson - 14pts

The Liverpool shot-stopper enjoyed a great game against Chelsea on Sunday, making three saves and saving a penalty from Italian midfielder Jorginho, helping his side to a 2-0 win. This victory also gave the Reds a clean sheet in the process, resulting in his high points tally.

His penalty save gave him an extra 5 points, as well as 4 points for the clean sheet and 2 bonus points at the end of the game. Liverpool's next game against Arsenal could be an interesting one, with the fixture difficulty rating sitting at a 3, but with games against Aston Villa, Everton, and Sheffield United after, it may be wise to either keep him in your team or transfer him in, with his confidence likely being elevated after his strong performance against the Blues.

Defender: Ezri Konsa - 15pts

What a game this was for Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa - the 22-year-old kept a clean sheet in their game against Sheffield United, earning himself 4 points in the process, as well as the 2 minutes points for playing a minimum of 60 minutes.

On top of that, Konsa scored Villa's only goal of the game, earning a further 6 points alongside a bonus 3 points awarded at the end of the match. It was a great overall performance for the defender, with 1 tackle, 2 interceptions, and 4 clearances - earning himself his final total of 15 points, the highest score for a defender this weekend.

At the small cost of £4.5m, it could be a great decision to transfer Konsa into your side, with their next game coming against Premier League new boys Fulham, who have lost their first two league games this season.

Midfielder: Heung-min Son - 24pts

The Korean forward had an absolute barnstormer of a weekend against Southampton - scoring four goals in Tottenham's 5-2 victory over the Saints at St Mary's. His four goals earned him 20 points to his total, 5 points per goal, as well as 2 points for playing the obligatory minimum of 60 minutes to earn his minute's points, on top of his bonus 2 points awarded at the end of the game by FPL.

It was a great day for individuals who had triple captained Son ahead of the weekend, which would have given them 72 points - a fantastic haul for anyone smart enough to do so.

Tottenham's next three fixtures against Newcastle, Manchester United, and West Ham could provide even more opportunity for Son who looks in fine form, so it may be wise to use your free transfer and get the 28-year-old straight into your midfield if you have the funds.

Forward: Harry Kane - 21pts

The Englishman was in fine form for Spurs' game against Southampton too, alongside teammate Heung-min Son - who Kane provided all four assists for the Korean's goals. As well as that, Kane managed to get on the scoresheet himself, which gave him an extra four points to his 12 gained from his four assists.

The obligatory minute's points, as well as 3 bonus points at the end of the game, gave the  27-year-old 21 points overall for GW2 - making him the highest earner from all forwards across the league, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin a close second with 17 points after his hattrick against West Brom.

Tottenham's next few fixtures against Newcastle, Manchester United, and West Ham could prove fruitful for his owners, with only United appearing as a difficult game for Spurs with a fixture difficulty rating of 4, compared to Newcastle and West Ham's rating of 2. The Englishman will cost you a fair amount, however, with a current price of £10.5m.
