It wasn't long ago that we were all tipping Everton for a challenge on the Premier League's top six this season, now we're wondering whether the Toffees will even be competing in the top flight come the beginning of next season.

The sacking of Ronald Koeman and subsequent failure to replace him quickly has understandably led to Everton continuing their struggles at the wrong end of the table, so it'll be your job to ensure they live up to expectations should you decide to take charge of the Goodison Road club on Football Manager 2018.

Everton is a club that has great pride in its academy, evident in its production of some of the country's most exciting and successful players over the years, as well as their role in the development of other young stars.

With that in mind, you would be wise to turn to the club's huge pool of young talent when managing Everton on the game. Are you able to discover the next Wayne Rooney? Do you have what it takes to identify and develop the new Seamus Coleman?

Luckily for you we've identified four members of the Toffees' youth academy that we think have what it takes to become extremely good Premier League players, perhaps even world class with the right training and development.

One of the four could slot straight in to the first team, the other three may need some time on loan before being ready, but the Goodison Park faithful will not accuse you of ignoring youth if they go on to do great things...
