We’re so happy to finally be able to welcome fans to our games again. It’s going to be a very different experience for the time being, but the more we all do to keep each other safe, the more chance we’ll have of continuing with the season in a way we all want to. The following guidelines are for our mutual safety; please do your best to follow them and help us to help you!
MEN’S FIRST TEAM INFORMATION – FOR WOMEN SEE OTHER PAGE
Bowers & Pitsea FC, Crown Avenue, Basildon, SS13 2BE
(please note that this postcode on Sat Nav systems may take you to the area behind the ground, from which there is no access. We recommend you input Crown Avenue for better guidance!)
Please do not attend if you or anyone in your party is displaying symptoms or if you should be isolating. We would also recommend not attending if you are considered in high-risk categories. If attending, please follow best practice in terms of hygiene and bring hand sanitiser for your own personal use. For the latest government guidance, see here: Covid-19 Govt guidelines
Attendance for the game will be restricted to 300 as per FA guidelines.
Entry is via the far end of the stand (down the drive) by the turnstiles. We have free disposable masks available at the gate, with a charity donation of 50p requested.
On site parking is now available. Once that is full, please be considerate to residents and use Eversley Leisure Centre 5mins walk away rather than using the streets around the ground as this results in complaints from residents.
To reduce risk of infection, we will allow fans to enter from approximately 1h 15 before kickoff and will be closing the ground promptly after players have changed.
Please note that for evening fixtures, residents have insisted that floodlights are turned off promptly at 10pm.
By law, anyone attending the game must register, ideally via the NHS QR code at the entrance. Please download the official NHS Covid-19 app before coming and then point your camera at the QR code to register. If this does not work, or you do not have a smartphone/QR reader, please register with our staff at the entrance.
Our programme will be digital only and will be available via our Twitter on matchday.
Toilets are in the far corner of the ground, and there is a burger bar to the right of the entrance. The burger bar currently only accepts cash. The bar is now closed.
(For visiting players/officials, please see our risk assessment/action plan here: Hashtag Action plan/risk assessment
Please maintain a 1m+ distance at all times with those outside your household, whether queuing, in the stand or around the pitch. We suggest keeping two seats apart from those outside your household in the stand. Please understand that even if the weather is inclement, we will need to restrict capacity in the stand so you may be asked to stand under cover to reduce over-crowding.
The wearing of masks in the stands is now compulsory.
Please keep groups to a maximum of 6 people.
Sanitise your hands frequently, especially after touching hard surfaces, with the sanitiser placed around the ground.
The concourse in front of the main stand isn’t wide enough to implement an efficient one-way system so please be understanding by keeping a 1m+ distance to those passing you and wait at either end if you need to allow others to pass.
When standing outside, please keep your distance and do not congregate in groups behind the goal. Groups not observing social distancing will be asked to disperse by security and repeat offenders may be ejected.
Please listen to PA announcements and adhere to instructions. These are for your safety but also to protect the club. Failure to adhere to regulations may result in the club having to play behind closed doors in future.
Public will not be admitted to interior areas of the stand.
Please dispose of your rubbish carefully or take it with you.
We have published our risk assessment and protocols on the website. The main points for fans are covered on this page but to read further guidelines and protocols for players, officials and staff, click here: Hashtag United Covid-19 risk assessment
Anyone who has come to a Hashtag United game before knows how much we try to meet fans before and after games for selfies etc. Under current circumstances this has become more difficult. Whilst we don’t want to warn you off, please be understanding and help us to help each other by not requesting handshakes or close quarter selfies. You’re fine to take photos but we should all keep our distance!
Please note that we will be filming in and around the game by Hashtag and occasionally by external creators or broadcasters so by attending you consent to be filmed. Anyone with privacy concerns should contact Neil Smythe on email@example.com
